Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Why play netball?

Because its fun! But also because you make great friends, meet new people, and stay healthy. You can learn new skills, improve your balance and agility, and keep active in a safe environment.

Netball can be a sport for life. From running around on the sideline watching older siblings, we've seen babes in arms grow up at the courts and play into adulthood. We welcome all, especially if you've haven't played in a while. Come along and join us.

When are the games and how long is the season?

Netball is traditionally a winter sport. Seniors play on Tuesday nights at 7 pm (teenager to adult) and Juniors play on Friday nights at 5 and 6 pm (5 year olds to teenager).

We also run a short summer season in Term 4 of the school year for Juniors and Seniors on Thursday nights. The summer season is free for all registered players in the winter comp.

Who can join?

Anyone. Literally, anyone. Boys AND girls. Little ones aged 5-8 do NET and SET programs designed by Netball Australia. 9&10 year olds play modified games. 10+ years play normal netball rules.
Our Seniors Tuesday night mixed comp (teenagers and adults) is growing each year, and you dont have to know a team, we can place you in one if you need.

How much does it cost?

Netball is one of the cheapest team sports going. 2023 fees are $100 or FREE with an Active Kids Voucher, and $TBC for Seniors. No special uniforms or equipment required. Wear whatever is comfortable, and good running shoes/joggers. We provide bibs and balls. We keep costs down through the help of volunteers and really appreciate our volunteer umpires who are essential for a safe and fair game for all.

We also try to keep costs low for our representative players to attend regional carnivals. We fundraise to give our teams the opportunity to attend State Titles in Sydney.
